Everyone who attended the Saturday screening of Greed had a great time. The movie was better than most imagined and the screening may have created a few new fans of silent films. Although it was a long film (3 hours and 48 minutes) we broke for intermission after two hours and snacked on popcorn, chips, and fresh-baked cookies. The intermission also gave us a chance to stretch our legs and prepare for the final 108 minutes.
Seating was limited in the Gold Country Museum theatre, so we were not able to accommodate everyone who wanted to see the film. Therefore, we will have a second screening on Sunday, March 8th at 1:00 pm in the Bernhard Museum Winery located at 291 Auburn Folsom Road in Auburn. Reservations are not required for this screening. For more information, please call 530-889-6500.
