The Community Education program Identifying and Dating Vintage Bottles was a great success. Cliff Kennedy, a docent at the Griffith Quarry Museum, gave an excellent presentation that encompassed the history of bottle making. He brought many examples of bottles from his collection and used images from the Society of Historical Archaeology to demonstrate the shapes and features that help date and identify a bottle. He also helped identify bottles audience members brought with them. It was a great program, one we will certainly have again in the future.
