Women Prospectors of the Old West

Of the women who traveled west during the Gold Rush, many found they could make good money by cooking meals or doing laundry. But not all women sought to earn a living performing domestic tasks. A few came to out west for the same reason men did: Gold!

Join us on the second floor of the Bernhard Museum Winery on Sunday, March 10th at 1:00 pm for Women Prospectors of the Old West presented by author Chris Enss. She has written over 25 books, many focusing on the lives of women in the west. This program is FREE!

She will have many of her books for sale after the program and she accepts cash or checks.

The Bernhard Museum is located at 291 Auburn Folsom Drive in Auburn. For more information about this program, please call 530-889-6500.
